We have excellent working links with a number of key partners and international schools which enriches the learning experience of students, staff and the community.

Our PE lessons benefit from using the state of the art facilities at Chamberlayne Leisure Centre, The Quays, SWAC and Woodmill  and we actively promote their activities which take place in community hours.

​

Many external agencies work closely with us in supporting students find work experience placements, and often these opportunities lead to apprenticeships and career development opportunities for our school leavers.

​

Some years we attend events like the ‘Southampton Boat Show’ and the ‘SeaWorks’ industry exhibition to educate students on opportunities available within the maritime industry. Visits to universities, league football clubs, museums and art galleries all help to nurture and inspire our young people.

Summer School Funding

This summer we were delighted to receive funding of £11,940 to set up a summer school for our new to Year 7 cohort which included a blend of educational and enrichment activities.

​

This funding meant that we were able to fund the staffing, educational resources and cafeteria ingredients to make this week a success for our new to Year 7’s where they had the opportunity to participate in a wide range of activities including building robots, creating and launching rockets, cycle maintenance and outdoor cooking to name but a few.
